Delaware-Muncie Metropolitan Plan Commission

The Delaware-Muncie Metropolitan Plan Commission (DMMPC) is the Planning Department for the City of Muncie and unincorporated Delaware County. 

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2013 all Zoning Planning and Permitting for Mt. Pleasant Township (excluding the area within the City of Muncie) will be under the jurisdiction of the Town of Yorktown.  Questions contact, Matt Ray, Yorktown Building Commissioner, 765-759-0142.

The DMMPC is also the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Muncie Urbanized Area, charged with carrying out federally mandated transportation planning activities.

The Prairie Creek Master Plan (PCMP) was adopted in 2007 and incorporated as a component of the
Muncie-Delaware County Comprehensive Plan.  The PCMP project was the result of a partnership with
the White River Watershed Project and the document in its entirety is housed on the watershed website.
