Steps for Transferring Property
  1. Sales Disclosures are to be reviewed by the appropriate Assessor's Office.
  2. Deed & Sales Disclosures are taken to the Auditor's Office Platroom.
  3. Auditor's Office transfers property from the "Seller's" name to the "Buyer's" name.
  4. The fee for transferring property is $20.00 per parcel number on all deeds, contracts, & affidavits.
  5. The "Sales Disclosure" fee is $10.00 for non-exempt & there is not a fee for exempt "Sales Disclosures."
  6. All documents need to go to the Recorder's Office to be recorded.
  7. There is a $10.00 fee for all easements and they do require a "Sales Disclosure."
Delete and Combines
 
The Auditor's Office can consolidate more than one existing contiguous parcel into a single taxing parcel with the following criteria's:
  • The contiguous parcels must be in the same township and section;
  • The titles of the properties must be titled exactly the same way; and
  • Taxes must be paid current.
 

NOTE:  ONLY LOTS CAN BE COMBINED WITH LOTS AND ACREAGE COMBINED WITH ACREAGE.
