Cory has served as the county's Emergency Management Deputy Director since July of 2020. Prior to EMA Cory served as a supervisor and training officer for the Delaware County Emergency Communication Center (911). Following his Great-Grandfather and both his grandfathers and his father’s footsteps, Cory currently serves as a 5th generation firefighter with the Albany Fire Department where he holds the rank of Captain and training officer. Cory also currently serves as a reserve officer with the Albany Police Department, a member of the Delaware County Hazmat Team, and is a secretary for the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC). Cory has received several awards throughout his public safety career including NASH 102.5 Hometown Hero, 2015, and 2019 firefighter of the year, and holds 2 life-saving awards for CPR and auto extrication. In Cory’s free time, he enjoys being outdoors and fishing on his bass boat.
