Emergency Action Plans

As the tragedy from the Indiana State Fair continues to grow, emergency event planning is in the front of everyone's mind. Let's take this opportunity to ensure that safety is a priority at gatherings and events within our community.

Please ensure that a site safety plan has been implemented for all your events. Make sure you have communicated the plan to all your organizers and a copy of the plan or a "what to do" guide is readily available .

NOAA alert radios are a life saving tool that will help guide you in an emergency. Make sure a NOAA weather radio is on site for all outdoor events. A Delaware County transmitter station from the National Weather Service has been implemented for your safety. Information for your weather radios: Delaware County Transmission Code: 162.425 and the NWR SAME Code: 018035 for emergency alerts. Input this to your weather radio to get the best coverage of local alerts.

Event Emergency Planning Templates are available from Emergency Management. Please make safety a priority at all events.
