City of Muncie Announces First New Resident Through Expanded MakeMyMove Partnership with Delaware County
The City of Muncie is proud to announce that its recent expansion of the MakeMyMove program in partnership with Delaware County has already brought its first new resident to the community.
Earlier this year, Mayor Ridenour and the Delaware County Commissioners, with the assistance of the Delaware County Redevelopment Commission, entered into an interlocal agreement to expand the program’s boundaries, allowing all addresses with a “Muncie” designation—both inside and outside of the city limits—to be eligible. This collaboration opens the door for even more movers to choose Delaware County, expanding the reach of the MakeMyMove program while showcasing all that Muncie and the surrounding communities have to offer.
“We are thrilled to see this partnership working exactly as intended,” said Mayor Dan Ridenour. “By joining forces with Delaware County, we can showcase Muncie and the entire region as a place where people want to live, work, and grow. The arrival of our first mover through this expanded program is an exciting milestone, and we look forward to welcoming many more.”
The MakeMyMove program offers incentives for remote workers and others looking to relocate, encouraging them to bring their talent, skills, and families to communities like Muncie. With this expanded footprint, the City and County are better positioned to attract new residents who will contribute to the region's economic vitality and cultural life.
